Karen D. Hodges

In her twenty-five plus years working in the visual communication industry, Karen D.  Hodges has led an impressive career as a Graphic Designer and Visual Art Teacher.

​

For the 2006-2007 school year, she was named Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers for Art
Integration/STEM. Karen Hodges has also been featured in several well-known industry publications, including Who’s Who Among Teachers and National Art Honor Society Sponsor.

Serving as the Visual Art Teacher in the public school system, Karen Hodges plays a major role as a Graphic Designer, Senior Graphics Illustrator, and Digital Imaging Specialist. Through her commitment to this role, she has helped in school beautification efforts through creation of murals (inspire inspiration school), school play publications, yearbooks, and newsletters.

 

These efforts have fostered sources for improving, enhancing, and creating environments that encourage all students to develop an appreciation of and support for the arts. Ms. Hodges also does private lessons in her spare time.

Prior to her current role as a Visual arts Teacher, Karen Hodges worked as a Government
Contractor/Graphic Designer aiding in the development of publications, exhibits, and presentations that helped a military graphics division and as a printing operator.

Karen has served on the Art Ministry for First Baptist Church of Glenarden and won the 2008 Art Ministry Member of the Year award.
